What do Napoleon and I have in common? Well, besides the obvious penchant for military genius and imperial power, we share a love for toggles! Now before you think I am talking about some type of military device used during the French Revolution or that I have misspelled goggles (don’t think they had those yet), let me just explain that I am talking about these wonderful, old-school loop fasteners that you see featured in my jacket.
First of, I love that the military trend is blowing up. Army style parkas, bombers, trench coats in olive green are everywhere. Have you noticed all the old-style military embellishments in silver or gold that decorate sleeves, collars and buttons of jackets and pants? This glam version of battle performance wear is something that makes my heart sing at the moment.
