The Groundhog has predicted 6 more weeks of winter, yuck! Although it has been freezing cold this month, there have been some nice and warm stretches of sunny days. And when that happens, the fun transitional outfits come out to play. To me that means layering dainty tops with oversized covers. Generally, I love mixing different materials for an interesting, eye catching effect. Oversized coats and jackets is what I live in anyway. I feel the need to throw an oversized cover over form fitting outfits to tone down the look and to feel like I am wrapped in a big cozy blanket. Maybe there is a Linus in me that needs to drag a security blanket around everywhere lol!
In this outfit, I mixed a shiny copper satin top with the coziest chunky knit – both pieces from Shine here in Denver. Shine is trendy little Boutique in the Washington Park neighborhood. They take a different approach to shopping for clothing by dumping conventional sizing norms. The size tags are all cut out and instead you will find a color coded directory that lets you know how you should pick a fit. Black, I believe was sexy which you can imagine will be a tighter fit. There are colors for casual or comfortable, too. Kinda cool, eh?
I have linked other sources for non-Denverites, as well, so you can shop the look from anywhere.
