This shoot was a fun one and as you can imagine involved climbing a lot of stairs! We were actually supposed to climb one last set of fire escape stairs but the midday heat made the bars too hot to handle so we had to abandon our mission. The view turned out to be still amazing just not as high up as had hoped.
Ho Chi Minh City aka Saigon is a densely populated mega city with more than 8 million people. It is constantly evolving and changing at a rapid speed. When we visited here this month, cab drivers were eager to tell us about new highways, a new airport in the works and an ambitious subway project. Some big budget projects which the city desperately needs to get people from A to B more quickly. Mopeds still rule the roads here and are by far the most efficient way to get around but an increase of private cars have made traffic slow and congested. We spend so much time and money on cabs here that often “got lost” or “took shortcuts” in the wrong direction so better public transportation will hopefully reduce the need for taxis and constant traffic jams.
I chose another pencil skirt made of light fabric and a white off the shoulder blouse for this city chic inspired shoot. This combination easily transitions from day to night. Go sightseeing with a comfy pair of sandals and a fedora during the day and just change into high heels and add accessories for some nightlife action. Easy!
