The over-the-knee boot trend has carried forward from last season but I have noticed a difference in style this time around. The materials are softer and boots are even higher. Silky faux suede and velvet boots are all the rage worn either skin tight like a thigh-high sock or loose for a relaxed look. These sand colored ones I have are super comfy and the color is very easy to match with outfits. It’s a nice change from your usual black boots (although I own a black pair, too ;).
Fall has been unusually warm even past Halloween (thanks global warming!) and I am taking advantage of extended Colorado autumn sunshine to wear shorts and skirts during the day. I am a big fan of contrasts in my outfits mixing different lengths, textures and volume – just not color. I don’t pull off color all that well but certainly appreciate it on all people who can. Monochrome is where it’s at in my world.
